Toddlers Program
8:30 am - 11:45 am, Mon. - Fri.

We began this program for the two year olds in the year 2007 based on the needs of the surrounding community. This classroom began to grow immediatly and we usually have a waiting list. The classroom is of a smaller size. All the furniture and materials are designed for the two year old. We have no more than sixteen children with two teachers. We are able to change diapers and help with potty training. These children have a longer out door play time in the mornings. They begin their work cycle at 9:30 and are dismissed at 11:45.  If a child requires care until 3:15, he/she can join the three and four year olds for lunch and nap time in an Extended Day. The Full Day two year olds are invited to play outside longer and are given the opportunity to continue the Montessori curriculum. The tuition rates for toddlers are similar to those for the Children's House classroom.

Children's House
8:30 am - 11:45 am, Mon. - Fri.

Children's House is a community of mixed ages (3 to 6). This program is a 3-year academic cycle where children enter between the ages of three and four. All of the children have a three-hour morning cycle. This time creates the forum for the children to pursue their interests in the Montessori tradition without interruption.

Extended Day
8:30 am - 3:15 pm, Mon. - Fri.

At around five years old children are ready physically and psychologically to remain at school all day. The children are those five to six year olds who are usually in their third year of Montessori. During the afternoon, the Extended Day children (known as kindergartners) remain in their classroom to continue their Montessori curriculum in more depth. We are offering the Extended Day hours to our two through four year olds also. They are invited to have lunch and naps, then participate in creative work and our longer outdoor play.

Lower Elementary
8:30 am - 3:15 pm, Mon. - Fri.

East Beach Montessori is pleased to announce the opening of a Lower Elementary classroom in Fall 2009 for students ages six to nine.  The Lower Elementary Program is a mixed age program designed to provide children access to all of the wonderful hands-on materials that make an education in the Montessori tradition exceptional.  Students will be guided in a strong literature-based reading and language arts program; discovery science activities focusing on botany and zoology; a cultural geography program that utilizes the visual advantages of creating and studying large timelines to track the course of natural and human history; and a mathematics program that will enable children to move from concrete to abstract operations with ease.  Much of the activity at the elementary level takes place in groups, with children sharing, collaborating, and exploring material together.  The elementary teacher acts as a guide who opens doors to whole fields of study, igniting and fanning the flames of interest in each child.  We are fortunate to have a very small student to teacher ratio which will allow for a great deal of personal attention and going out opportunities for the students.

Full Day
8:00 am - 5:30 pm, Mon. - Fri.

The Full Day program is for the children whose parents want an extended Montessori environment. This program includes lunchtime, naps and planned activities. A flexible schedule helps meet the challenge of being at school for an extended period of time.
